Not super surprised by the up arrow. I was an eating wreck over the weekend; movie popcorn, candy, vegan ice cream, take out food one day. Today is the beginning of my latest experiment. This one will run 8 days and the main purpose of it is to see if I can even lose any weight. My diet change to a more whole food plant based eating has meant that I don't really worry about every being 250 again, or even over 215 no matter how crappy I eat, but I also can't seem to get below 210 no matter what I do. So my aim is to see what I can eat, and do, that will take me back below 210 and also below 200. Today I went to Qi Gong class (75 minutes) and it's also my juice cleanse day. I got 2 24 oz veggie juices at the Whole Foods last night I was doing 2 32oz in the past but the last 2 Monday's I don't seem to finish those off. Today is a more typical Monday for me so my experiment doesn't really start until tomorrow. I'd like to see a drop by 5-7 lbs by the end of the 8 days. Away I go!
97.0 kg Lost so far: 0 kg.    Still to go: 0 kg.    Diet followed: Poorly.
Gaining 0.3 kg a Week

1. Cleanses do nothing. 2. Fat loss will be directly dependent on your energy intake vs. energy expenditure. If changing your diet up will cause you to eat more protein, you may make a difference but it won't be significant. Just focus on your calorie goals and make an effort to move more if you're not already doing so. Going by your food calendar you're not tracking calories. That may be the issue unless you use another method to track intake.

I typically do a juice fast one day a week and it's not for weight loss, but more for health reasons and as a way to work on my issues around food addiction. It's a method of behavior change that I have been using for the past year and I rather enjoy doing it. I have no interest or desire to count calories, points, grams of protein/fat, etc., as this hyper focus on minutiae has never been something that is sustainable for me. Instead, I focus on getting out as much "junk" from my diet as I can comfortably live with and increase nutrients. I've lived with food addiction and being overweight most of my life. This has been a long journey and a continuing experiment. For me it's not just about losing the weight but finding an easy, sustainable way to keep it off.
