Ok.. so here's where I get serious again about losing some more weight. I started last May in ernest and have lost a total thus far of 37 pounds! Awesome for me. Did not think when I started that this would happen but...it did! Started off doing keto and did well for 3 months or so and then I started adding in fruits and then baked goods around the holidays. So I'm definately not currently on keto. But I have kept my calorie intake down and have maintained my weight despite my lack of keto. I feel good about where I am and believe that I could stay here at this weight fairly easy as long as I pay attention to my overall intake. Last time I lost this weight, I couldn't maintain it but for a month or so and it came back on. To be fair to myself, my world got turned upside down at that time as I had to change jobs and wound up on night shift (where I remain today). It was hard; hard to adjust and I lost my grip on my diet and workouts. The weight came back on quickly! Then I decided I could be tired and fat or tired and thinner. I chose thinner. I was tired of being fat and feeling defeated! So I gave the Keto diet a try and found it was something I could do without beating myself up and feeling cheated.

So the holidays are over. The fog has lifted. We've almost wiped out the contraband. Time to get serious again. I have a Dr's appointment on Feb 26 with the cardiologist for a one year check up after my heart surgery. I want to see how much more weight I can lose before the appt. I have a six week goal to work on. Get back to the workouts again and restart the keto diet and see where I get to. Down to the 160s?? Haven't been there since I started first year of college as an 18 year old. So..here I go. Might take me a couple of days to get into the full swing again, but I WILL.
