FullaBella's Journal, 23 May 13

Well, it's a good thing I don't make my living as a feature writer else I'd have to relocate to somewhere perpetually sunny to be able to turn out a column on a regular basis.

The Sun is flickering like a neon light with a bad connection and my mood and energy are lagging in sync with it. I even googled 'what can I do about my crappy mood on cloudy days' and I'm sure if it were sunny outside I wouldn't have spewed profanity at the huggy feely spiritual affirmations telling me to heal from within.

I want a quick fix. I wonder if they sell portable klieg lights.

I can tell you've been out of sorts lately by the ever dwindling length of your journals. I hope you get your dose of vitamin D and start feeling like yourself again. I hate feeling out of sorts. Well, that's a rather stupid statement. Does anyone enjoy it? Anyway, do keep checking in. I always enjoy hearing from you, long or short :)

LOL, portable klieg lights might work to get ya outt that grey-sky funk, but then you'd have the whole new problem of dripping in sweat from the heat they put out...definiately not a mood-lifting tradeoff, heh. Seriously though, I react the same way on cloudy days. It was just starting to show spring here and now it's grey sky, rain and freezing temps again ARGH. Hang in there, the sun WILL shine again... ;)

Awww. They do sell SAD lights, lights that mimic the good stuff of the suns rays. I think Bren uses one and she is one of your buddies too? That might help. I'm sorry you feel so cruddy. Knowing the feeling doesn't help you get over it but sending you a hug anyway.

With all the things that can wreak havoc in our lives its a shame that weather is a player too. Maybe some fresh flowers ?? Hoping for sun tomorrow !

Well, it seems to be holding steady for an hour now but am avoiding jumping for joy because I don't want to jiggle the loose connection. So.. nobody move, okay?

Yes you should definitely try a SAD lite. They do really work. I actually got one quite a few years back but heard that exercising does the same thing for you so I upped my exercise a bit and never had the problem again. Hope you feel better soon!!
