Thanks Jomo. I’m not pushing it at the moment. My weight shot up from about 80 kg to 83.6 kg, due primarily to a small amount of alcohol playing havoc with fluid retention. I actually don’t drink much and go for months without it. Now, as all the Christmas goodies are just about eaten out, I’ll start a proper diet again. My body composition, as per those dodgy Probert scales I bought, has provided me with a new information base to work off.

My Probert smart scales are great motivational tools- I synchronised with my apple health app, and I can now see accurate graphs of all the progress I’ve made since 27 November when I started using them. Not all 18 measures but a few important ones.

Jomo, I have connected AIFit with Apple Health too. However, I have added a tape measurement of my gut to make it more real-world. My treat for today was stewed pears. I buy the I’m-not-perfect ones from Coles. Small things excite me these days.

Hahaha 🤣 small things make my day too! Today I accidentally discovered how to make a very acceptable high protein chocolate pudding. It was supposed to be a shake but as soon as I poured it, it solidified! I have done three measurement sets on my body - the first one back in October when I discovered how much I weighed and recoiled in shock. I joined FatSecret a couple of weeks later, and did another very encouraging set of measures in early December. My third set was on 18 December but I’m waiting for the three month anniversary from day zero (21 January) to do the next set. The most dramatic change so far has been my hip measurement -16.5cm, waist is -9.5 cm as of 18/12/20. I developed a massive pot belly before I started to do something about it, and it’s going to be hard to shift that podge. But I’m determined to transform my keg into a six-pack!
