The morning carbohydrates allow me to complete an weightlifting regimen earlier in the day. I am choosing to spend my afternoon and evening calories in protein for three reasons.

The first is obviously that I want to retain muscle mass or even keep on growing throughout my fat-loss. The second is that protein is more satiating, meaning that I bitch and moan less than usual. You guessed it, the third reason is that protein has a thermic affect on your metabolism.

All in all, switching to a higher protein diet in the medium term means higher dietary adherence allowing for predictable results. The main advantage of a higher protein diet mean there is less dependence on carbohydrates. This shortens your insulin and blood sugar window.

I wanted to try this keto-lite like diet for some times but have not had the balls to do it.

good luck mate. I agree with the theory. let's see if the app and experimentation makes practice worthwhile. is there anyway to move a food diary entry to the previous day if you forgot to enter something for yesterday mate?

Hi 👋🏻 I may not be able to answer diet questions (not a dietitian) but I’m responsible for finding out what irks ppl when trying to stay on track, & where possible, solving those irks.

Jonathan I've figured it out. There is a tab at the top of your food diary that allows you to choose the day of your food Diary....you can go back in time and edit previous days
