feel a little disheartened atm, ive started running nightly with my daughter as a little extra exercise, nothing huge ...but i just read on google that if it takes u longer than 8-830mins to run 1 km, u may as well walk and that it it's basically the same. really hope that's not true. i always believe google like it's bible or google fact 🤔😢 feel a little defeated

my partner told me that if you can run 1km in 6mins then you're on the fit-scale. I don't believe the whole 'might as well walk' thing, aslong as your heart rate is high & you're physically exerting yourself, that's got to be better than walking.

Keep running! It’s a real gift just to be able to and I don’t know whose opinion that was, but they have no idea where most people are at.
I’d love to be able to run or cycle, but I have to be content with walking because lifelong asthma has damaged my lungs and I can’t do anything more than a fast walk, and that, for me, is effective aerobic exercise.

the human body is really efficient when it comes to running and it's considered a high stress-low reward exercise. it does condition your body and work your core though. look up exercises that burn calories faster and do them after your walk/run (not before). don't give up :)
