I cut the top of the bag with the cereal, keep a measuring cup (extra 1/2c) in the bag, roll up the top use a laundry pin to close it.

I follow Nubine4me's method, except I use a chip clip to close mine.

I cut the top of the bag halfway across to open. To close I fold the cut portion and then fold the remaining top of the bag a couple of times and secure with a bag clip...

I use bookkeeper's clips to close bags - even in the freezer - I even use those clips to hang curtains and keep my hair out of my eyes. Every cereal box should come with one free bookkeeper's clip.

Plain old office paper clips works. Kept breaking the plastic clips. 😁🤣. Of course, zip lock bags would be great if they came with cereals, etc.

Or just do like me. Crush the entire box in one sitting. Get em before they have a chance to go stale.
