The latest food experiment -- black rice! Here with edamame and cucumber kimchi. Not sure the nutritional profile is all that different from brown & doesn't taste any different, but supposed to have more polyphenols & it looks pretty on the plate

I bought mine off of Amazon. There's no place locally here that carries it

Thanks, Wifeski! Erq -- wow, that surprises me. I can only find it mail order, and pretty dang expensive. I'm not planning on buying it again for that reason, but it was fun to try

That looks so good😋. Usually made a porridge with coconut milk of it. Assuming it's the same thing. Enjoy🌻

Erq -- I'm not completely vegan, so squid ink isn't out of the question. I've let fish and occasional eggs back in my diet, but try to avoid dairy and meat as much as I can. Let me know how it turns out! 😃

Beware of putting it in any plastic, buenitabishop. It stained up my little steamer/rice cooker, and my husband was none too happy with me when he did dishes. It took some effort to get it clean. I'm planning on cooking the rest of it on the stove top in a metal pan and cleaning up right away. I probably won't buy it again, but it was fun to try!
