Heaven help me. Hubby is baking again. His cranberry orange bread is healthier than the standard recipe - less oil & sugar, subs in some whole grains. There are worse things I could be eating. All things in moderation :)

Looks yummy. Enjoy it and have to guilt. I treat myself everyday to something I like, and, in return, I watch very closely the rest of the things I eat to not overpass my calorie intake limit. It works.

Cranberry-Orange is one of my favorite flavor combos. That bread looks scrumptious

Thanks, all :) I am indeed in the "no guilt" camp when it comes to food. I choose to eat a variety anywhere on the treat to uber-healthy spectrum. It all balances out. I'm fortunate that although my husband likes to bake (especially in winter), he's not a food-pusher. Doesn't insist or get his feelings hurt when I moderate or sometimes take a pass. I also get dinged a little on the nutritional content, because for these it's more realistic to just grab some kind of cranberry-orange bread out of the database instead of trying to figure out what he put in the stuff, especially since he tends to change it up a little every time. I figure if the calories are in the ballpark, it'll have to be good enough

Looks REALLY good! That bread is WAY more healthy than buying at a store and probably more easliy digestible. Don't feel guilt eating that at all! BTW, LOVE the mug!!!

Apples and cheese, too...SO GOOD!!

That's definitely an advantage of home cooking, jenhoven. You can tweak it to make it healthier. We find we actually prefer baked goods with less sugar and fat in them. The mug has become kind of my meme. ;-) I try to work it into as many food photos as possible, LOL!

I've decided to make pumpkin bread before I make the cookies. because if I'm gonna nosh, it might as well have fiber, right?

It will taste just as good without the unnecessary oil and sugar. You should be thankful to have a hubby who makes it so you can enjoy some without the guilt. You should be thankful for a hubby that bakes!

Come on over, Tim! I'll put on a pot of coffee. Fiberoptic -- I'm thankful for my husband for many things. Baking is the least of it 😊 And yes, to others who responded, it was pretty awesome! 😋

Yum! Looks delish, especially with the apple & cheese! It must be the winter & the season bc a lot of people baked today! I kade banana bread, made healthier with no sugar (used Splenda), & it's so good! Yes eating all good things in moderation. 😁

Writingwyo, I was sure I sent you a PM to thank you for your kind thoughts and support you in your new journey. (I must have written it during what little sleep I've managed to get the past few weeks🤦‍♀️) Yoga is great for strength and flexibility. Have fun! :-)
