Fabulous 3 hour ski yesterday, much of it off trail or on the narrow back trails that aren't groomed. So much snow up there -- those things sticking up are the tops of split rail fences. Tired, achy, and happy this morning :)

Thanks, otb! It was so beautiful, especially the places we were. Cheesegobbler-- the joy of it is that it doesn't feel like a workout to me. Yes, my body's working hard, but my mind says I'm just playing in the forest. 😊 I've decided to cancel my gym membership, because I've decided I'm just not a gym person. See, I love activity, but hate to exercise 😉

Funny with that fence top 🤣. Good call on the gym -- you seem way too happy outside to be churning on a treadmill. My yoga studio even holds sunrise/sunset classes on the beach so that we don't have to be stuck inside 🏖️, which was wonderful during Covid lockdown, and still great today. When you live someplace like Wyoming, it seems like there would be endless cardio activities to keep you fit (snow shoveling, for one 😁). I take it your shoulder is healed up? So happy to see you skiing!!!

You're right, JustBananas! I gave the gym a go, but it's just not cost-effective. There are days when it's just too awful to go outside, but I'm just going to hop on our ski machine or do strength training or something on those days instead of driving to a gym. Plus, it's not the end of the world if I don't exercise every day. The shoulder is still healing, still a little ouchy, but when I saw the physical therapist, they said as long as the pain is mild, it's not going to hurt anything to use it. I'll probably avoid tennis, pickleball, etc. until it fully resolves, but I did NOT want to give up skiing!

How pretty! I live close to Lake Tahoe and there is so much snow there. Risk for avalanches. I rarely go, I hate driving there When chains are required and the roads often close. I love to go in the summer though.

Glad it's nice there, Morticia! Fritzy -- roads are usually what determines if we go or not. I've skied in some brutal winds, but if those winds are blowing drifts onto the road where it's freezing, just no. Fortunately, we don't have to go anywhere where chains would be needed. I'd definitely balk at that.
