One set ski tracks (hubby), one snowshoe (me). After conferring with my physical therapist, xc skiing seems to be a bad idea with the rotator cuff issue. Have an appointment with an orthopedist now. Still, got to get out in the snow and play :)

Thanks, JB! 😃 The wind was absolutely HOWLING. I'm finding snowshoeing off trail to be more tiring than skiing, but to me, kind of the point of the things is to get off trail. They're actually more of a hindrance than a help on the packed trails. I have to set my feet wider than I'm used to, so I felt a bit like I was waddling 😂 The upside is that my husband can ski more challenging terrain than I can, so this time we were able to go to places together I usually can't go

Ahhh... a snow swan, not a bunny. 🦢 Bet it was a great quad playout!

My daughter moved to Muskegon, Michigan this last May and I would love to buy her some snowshoes. It is so much fun. I have used them (old ones) but know nothing about purchasing them. Any recommendations?

Kenna - - I'm new to the snowshoeing thing, and the ones I'm wearing are low-end hand-me-downs from a friend, so I don't have any recommendations. If I continue this activity, I'm going to look for a better pair

Lucy -- it's definitely impinged on things. All things being equal, I'd rather be on skis. I'm going to have to see what the orthopedist says. Still, trying to look on the bright side. 😊 Hope you get yours worked out and are soon on the mend! I've learned the hard way that shoulders are tough!

I've always wondered how hard it is to walk in snow shoes...

Looks beautiful…No snow here to walk in…😳 Southern New England didn’t get much, if any snow this season…I realize it’s still February but 65 degrees in Feb. in CT? Strange

I bought a pair of snowshoes from Crescent Moon in Colorado. I love them and here in Wisconsin, tromp around in the snow every day - sometimes several times, as that is how I walk our dog. Now as great this year - we had a thaw and too many days above freezing, so the snow that is left is no fun at all! Big storm expected this week! I love snow!

It was fun, Morticia 😊 Hard, but fun. I was wiped out yesterday

Diana -- we were off in deep snow a lot of the day, so it was challenging. Even with the snowshoes, I was sinking to halfway up my shins in a lot of places. On the actual trails, it's not hard at all, although I'm having to get used to having my feet wider apart than I do skiing

DanceCoach -- I think there's a lot of weird weather everywhere these days

Bingleys Mom -- you and me both! 😃 If I keep snowshoeing, I may have to check out Crescent Moon for a better pair. This ski season is shot, but I'm hoping all will be well for the 2023-24 season. I retire at the beginning of February, 2024, so that should open up more opportunities. TBH...I've been trying to put a brave face on it, but losing this ski season had me feeling deflated, defeated, and depressed this morning 😥

There are two paths in life. One is sometimes happy but a little bumpy at times and the other is never happy and never smooth. Oh wait! This isn’t a caption this picture moment is it? 🤣🤓

It wasn't originally, Kadeous, but I'm glad you made it one! I like it! 😃

Although...both paths were happy ones 😊
