5th x-c ski outing, 7.88 miles, puts me up to 28.4 miles for the season. This was the bottom of a loop where we made downhill turns in powder. My technique is coming along well, so I'm able to cover more ground with the same time and effort. A great day!

Do you see deer and bunnies when you are out there? Looks so pretty

Sometimes we see deer, but not today. Occasionally we see moose out there!

So beautiful there!

Thanks, Morticia 😊 This is an area we don't get to often, because it's a steep downhill and uphill getting in and out, but I love this trail. They haven't started grooming the trails this season, so there aren't a lot of people up there yet, which is nice

I love how active you are and how you still get out when the weather is challenging. I used to be like that but now am afraid of falling.

I'm actually kind of a slug, when I'm not out in the woods, Morticia. 😉 Not a dedicated exerciser. We are careful to wait for good roads, and they were bone dry today. I can completely understand the fear of falling

That would be awe inspiring. Whenever i see a wild creature my heart always feels lighter. Ive taken to bringing raw peanuts (in the shell) on my morning walks to donate to the squirrels and the crows along the way. I used to encourage the squirrels to take from my hand but decided not a good idea. Not all humans are kind to wildlife so now i throw them a safe distance away after making sure they see me throwing them. They always stuff their little cheeks and i smile. Hubs has to hold the boys back tho so they dont scare them. 😂

Actually, seeing a moose is slightly terrifying. They're big and can be dangerous. 😳 Although yes, it's awe inspiring, too. 😊 If you love wildlife, you'd be in heaven around here. We see deer and antelope (pronghorn) frequently, and our neighborhood is overrun with rabbits. I've spotted a fox in town a couple of times. Up top, we saw a coyote once and have seen beaver a couple of times. Our local city park has a lot of geese, and in the spring, the goslings are the cutest things imaginable 😍 I feel pretty blessed to live here

Thanks, OTB! I'm really happy we've been able to get up there so many times this early in the season
