Getting stronger - uninterrpted walk this morn, before the madness begins (again). Saw my eldest daughter off to CO - long drive; and, grateful she was here these past three weeks (post-op). Last JP drain removed yesterday. Abdomen swelling lessening. Woo!

Attempted first "post-op" distance walk... almost a mile and a quarter... half-speed, a little winded, but grateful to be able to do such a distance without stopping.

Question: How many weeks does it take for fluid accumulated from surgery to be re-absorbed from the surgical site? Yeah, it's slowly going down, but I'd really like to get back in my pants now (not that sweatpants are entirely uncomfortable). Surgeon told me weight gained post-operatively because of this procedure would take "time" to leave the area(s)... scared to step on the scale.Thoughts?

Three questions for my friends, followers and fellow FatSecret faithful...
1) How do you begin believing you (actually) look the way you do, versus the way you used to?
2) Do you (like I) fixate/focus on the way we used to be until we catch a glimpse of ourselves in the mirror?
3) How many times do others need to speak truth, saying that we look better/healthier, before we believe it ourselves?
