This was a tiny piece of turtle cheesecake. It was about 4” long and 2” or less at the widest part. They told me it was almost 800 kcal 😭. AFTER we ate it of course lol. BUT I shared it equally with two of my kiddos so I only had 4 teeny bites. Thankfully I ate less than half of my meal and had skipped the usual appetizer so I could afford those calories. I’d planned to go over today as I knew I’d eat out twice. Since I really haven’t I think I can go ahead and have another roll with some cheddar cheese 😃. And YES it was absolutely DIVINE! All four nibbles haha!

Oh and no special occasion. Hubby was away, my oldest had a 2 hour practice and the other two kiddos and I needed something to do so we went to dinner lol. Normally we go shopping and have a late dinner which means the little one gets to bed at least an hour late. This way we could eat early, she got to bed only a half hour late and I spent $90 on dinner rather than $100-200 in a store. There’s a reason hubby took over taking her to those practices. I can’t just sit there in the truck for 2 hours doing nothing so I eat or I shop... He saves money by taking her, he can go to the gym and I can stay home and cook a healthier meal, read, help with homework etc. But when he’s away for meetings or dinners or whatever then I get to do all the practices and such. Thankfully neither of our older girls had after school practices today (cancelled last minute) so that saved me a trip and we had plenty of time to get homework and things done before the long one!

Looks delicious! The 3-bite rule works for me with desserts, I savor each bite slowly.

Well, it sounds like it was a good day for everyone. You're so good with staying within your calories, while still enjoying your meals. 👍

Thanks Becca! Actually I did go over a bit with two rolls and a couple slices of cheese before bed. I’d planned 2000 for the day and stayed under that I think but still more than the 1500 I should be staying under. I’m more lenient with myself these days as I can’t lift weights until probably November. I’ll gain a few pounds but my mental health is better when I can give myself a bit of leaway when I’m on restrictions from the dr. And a 2-4# gain isn’t that much when you consider I’ve basically been out of the gym for well over a year now AND I’m eating out way more than usual with all the practices, games, track meets etc. I’m back to keeping meals small and light when possible so I can have my big bedtime snack. Can’t sleep when I’m hungry :/. I’m incorporating more soups as well. Not filling but it’s comforting and it takes awhile to sip and eat it while I watch tv or read. Then I’ll have some candy or something but better than the 2 snickers I’d gotten used to eating 🤦♀️.

Snickers and Peeper are one. 😊😉 You're consistently doing well, because you're always figuring out how to make it work while being so busy with your kids and taking caring of your health. Well done indeed. 💕

I had to buy snickers coffee creamer so I wouldn’t want a snickers for breakfast lol. Hopefully I’ll burn myself out on them soon! It took 4 years of Reece’s every day to get burnt out on those. And thank you ☺️
