Does anyone do intermittent fasting?

Yes, about once a week. I generally do 18/6 but will extend the fast for up to 20+ hours if it’s convenient to do so. Two of the main things is to eat well prior to fasting and to drink lots of fluids during the fast. You’ll FEEL lighter and refreshed after fasting once you get used to it.

Yes and it works well for weight loss. I haven’t done it for the last 4weeks but was able to maintain the loss I made since mid February of 5kg.

If I am doing it I try to do it twice a week during the week. 700-900 cal

hiya... I do, but I kind of always have because of getting everyone out of bed, dressed, fed and off to school... I'm not sure what it's like as a weight (body fat) loss approach standalone, but I find it definitely helps me stay more balanced physically and emotionally. I've checked your journey as you've logged it and I think you're doing great... maybe you could just try small incremental tweaks that feel okay for you if you're not feeling like you're progressing fast enough... slower weight loss is the kind that sticks, whereas (statistically) rapid and radical loss with big changes to food/diet often rebound. I'm not sure if you're after general input, but things I've known to work and which tend to limit (not necessarily avoid) are added sugar/sugar substitutes, ultra processed foods and a little less, processed foods and alcohol. Whatever you do, it needs to be liveable for you. Forward is forward, no matter how fast or slow and I think you're going great!

oh... btw I basically live like a 19/5 split for 5 days a week and maybe 16/8 on weekends... but that's 'cos it feels right for me.

I do 16/8 just because it’s easy for me as I am retired. Finish eating by 6 pm & have breakfast around 10:00 am. It really helps with comfortable sleeping. Main meal at lunchtime.

hi yes so just started this again today as always had good results from it. 16 hrs so stop eating at 6pm and nothing until 10am. Eat whatever, as long as it is 16 hr break. can change times to suit you but has to be 16 hr fasting.

Thanks Lippinanni just saw this is what you do too. Just started wanting to lose weight. Joined this app today so hopefully it keeps me abounding for my eating.
