Yes. Turns out your body knows best. It prefers glycogen for energy when exerting itself. You must exert yourself to force a change in muscle mass. Carbs are the answer.

Now I'm hungry for tacos and all I brought to work is protein shakes/bars and fruit. I was saving calories for pancakes in the morning but my mom just canceled on me. Doughnuts to drown my sorrow are in order.

My goodness. These findings sound so different. But I'm glad to hear them because I would have to be in a LOT of trouble health wise to accept being keto. I think of it as a therapeutic diet for certain conditions, such as certain nerve conditions. Weight loss is just a side effect. Without the motivation of the health problem, it's a narrow way to live, IMHO.

Since I don't speak Spanish I thought you were meeting at 7 p.m. This makes so much more sense. Only bring the donuts you are going to eat. My willpower is for shit lately.

Mañana means tomorrow and morning time so that's why I said en la mañana tomorrow lol. In the morning tomorrow. Anyway, I got 1k calories to consume before bed. Do I have all the ingredients at home to make my French toast?🤤

My hypothesis on why there's more lean muscle mass loss in resistance trained people on KD is because the keto diet has you do low carbs and for resistance training you need higher carbs. The protein carb ration with resistance training should be 1:1.

Mermee, I've noticed that too (regarding the higher body fat percentage). Some very loud proponents of that diet lost maybe 10 pounds of water weight easily by cutting carbs, think they've found the magic solution to losing weight without effort/hunger but "stall" when they realize how much they eat matters for actual fat loss. But they never try anything different and just think they need to cut more and more carbs or eat less frequently, and stay overweight/at a high body fat percentage, though they are less obese than they used to be.

Yep, I am in a group on FB where there are 30k+ members. I see that all the time with keto. They get to a light weight with a high bf percentage. Especially the ones who don't lift.
