Body fat definitely has it's uses come winter 🥶 Do you have a plan for the increase... like reverse dieting? Do you maintain your macros and increase calories or adjust your macros as well?

My reverse diet plan is of course increase calories slowly and would still maintain the right macros ratio but with ease and not strictly. My main concern here is to hit my protein everyday that’s very crucial as we aged. And of course my fat intake rises up too to around 50-60g a day. Carbs ranges from 150-300g (depending on activity of the day). My main indicator is how you see in the mirror in the mid section of abdomen if you’re putting on more fat in that area then you re adjust your calories mainly carbs. I love carbs cycling I feel I have more control that way if that make sense.

But 12-15% body fat is the ideal also a good insulation for winter 😊 or year round

Thanks mate, I can't say that I'll be able to use the visual check method for determining increased body fat, nor can I imagine 12-15% on my frame (not without surgery)... I'm thrilled that I have just rediscovered my ribs in the last few months - hahaha... The carb-cycling thing is something I might try, maybe not weekly like you do tho because I think I don't give enough time to doing weight training yet. If I am understanding my numbers over the last month then perhaps once per fortnight might work to start with... will give it a shot for the next month and see how I go... Thanks again for sharing your info 👍

Give it a try it’s good to try out things. Keep in mind that if your daily activity is pretty much the same I would keep carbs the same everyday. I think the way you tackle your weight loss is a perfect way to lose weight steadily and not very aggressive and therefore you would adapt to the new maintenance calories a lot easier and maintain it successful compared to crash dieting. Well done!!!
