men block your ears! ok ladies ... I've discovered that I go up in weight when I'm ovulating. so not only do I go up in weight before it's "that time of the month" (for a few days prior and during) but also about a week afterwards for a few days. This has been a revelation because I have always stayed on plan and my weight fluctuates so much and it is deflating when you try so hard and the scales don't reflect that. BUT now I will stay off them for around 2 weeks of the month and make sure I only weigh myself (for an accurate picture of where I am at) when I am not ovulating or due for my period. Just this week I went from 65.5kg to 66.6kg and now 65.4kg. All whilst sticking to under 20grams of carbs, 1300 cals, high protein (90grams) and low-ish fat (80grams). one or two workouts a day for 5 days a week. so I know I am doing everything I can and it's my monthly cycle that throws me for a loop. hang in there ladies and only weigh yourself when it's the RIGHT time of month. otherwise it's discouraging for no good reason.
65.4 kg Lost so far: 32.3 kg.    Still to go: 0 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Agree - this happens to me too! I suddenly go up 1 kg right before and as my period arrives. But within 1 week my weight is back to before. It was baffling me, so glad to realize the trend and stop worrying about it.

Good stuff! Do you now only weigh yourself on days that you know are not affected by monthly cycles?

my PT said we have fluid retention then n that's why

Perfect timing for your post today. I hae only been on this journey for 27days and was gradually dropping weight but todays weight put me above my last weight 7 days ago. I was very discouraged. But now I'm thinking it may be due to this.

Glad it was good timing. Don't let the number stop you from progressing. If you know you are doing everything you can to get healthy... keep going and don't let the scales throw you!
