Fatsecret has been the key. And instead of cardio, I switched to weights. I am quite active and motivated but now I can see what and when is filling the tank. Having a mental picture enables me to throttle back when the limit is close or skip a meal and fast. Fasting is most easily done before bed because you can't eat whilst sleeping. During the week, meals are low-carb, everything is on-point and I abstain from alcohol. On the weekend, I refeed/cheat and enjoy some wine. In fact, at those times, I will exceed my limit by a large margin but these diet breaks are preventing metabolic adaptation. Slow and steady without crucifying myself.
