whoa!! a 1kg loss in 24 hours is amazing! I'm now at my lowest weight which feels great. I had a major spike in my weight and it may have been hormonal but a few days of very low calories (between 500 and 900) and under 20grams of carbs. one meal a day at lunch time have done the trick. I'm aware that thats not very much and not sustainable but it's now a tool that I have in my tool kit for when I am feeling determined to shift some gained kgs fast. I made sure I kept my lean protein high so that muscle loss wouldn't be a factor. I even managed to fit in a sweet keto treat of no sugar choc brownies so I wasnt feeling particularly deprived. Not saying it was easy because cooking dinner for the family and not eating with them (for 3 nights) sucked but it feels worth it now. Today I'll start increasing my cals slowly and continue to do so for a few days so I get back to a reasonable amount but slowly does it. I like having a plan and when it actually works it feels great.

Absolutely Jomo! It gets harder and harder to shift the final couple of kgs and its frustrating but important to experiment and find what works.

lol 1 kg in nothing, just water balance. it is possible to lose 12kg of water in 24 hours and get it back next day. There is video on YouTube.

Sounds like hard work 😓 to stick with 500 to 900 cal a day

@Devilz77 - you’re not able to lose 12 litres, which equals 12 kilos of weight in a day - you would be dying or dead from dehydration - probably more like 1200 ml - 1.2 litres. You can definitely be carrying more than that in excess fluid if your kidneys are not functioning properly, if you have heart failure, or if you have been over consuming salt (sodium chloride) - but you would not be well. YouTube, though full of good information, from reliable sources, is also a dumping ground for a whole lot of dubious ‘information’ it’s not a science channel or a peer reviewed publishing house - it is not necessarily a reliable authority. Check your facts.

Not sure where you read the 12 Kg loss in 1 day.

Intersting comment Nios2. For me one kg in a day is a great loss as I've currently lost around 38kg so the last couple of kg have been a struggle and I very easily put on but need something drastic to get results. I'm drinking plenty of water and electrolytes so losing water weight is of no concern.

Sorry aras, not meaning to hijack the thread, but I couldn’t let that comment ride. Nothing to do with your amazing results!

Sorry but that’s probably water

Quite possibly sighthound but I did drink 2 litres of water yesterday as I do every day. I have lost this amount of weight over a 24 hour period before although it was back in the days when I had an extra 38kg of fat to get rid of. As long as I keep it off, I dont care where the weight came from, as long as its not on me. Actually for the record I don't want to lose lean muscle mass or bone density which is why I keep my protein and calcium game strong!

Amazing Job aras78. Weight loss is not an easy thing to do it seems. It takes concerted effort. Some jobs don’t help either, night shift makes things interesting. Swapping chocolate for cucumbers was a big shift.
