Weight gain was probably fluid in the body. 🎢
I know, these weight fluctuations really mess with your mind 🤯⁉️

if you restrict your calorie intake too much your metabolism slows down causing the up and down of weight. I had to start eating double what was normal for me to restart weightloss. I would always lose 1-2kg after a cheat day

My metabolism is already slow thanks to Hashimotos thyroid. I think these are the reasons I'm having so much trouble - getting that balance right is a delicate process.

I also have Hashimoto’s - been on thyroxine replacement for 30 years now. We have to work extra hard to get the weight off, and as you say it’s a delicate balancing act.
But though our metabolism is not as responsive, we can stimulate it within the limits of our T3-T4 levels. I take my thyroxine in the morning first thing and don’t eat or have a cuppa for at least half an hour, just to make sure the full dose is absorbed.
My main meals are in the early part of the day, having a big meal at night is a disaster for weight gain as thyroid levels have started to drop by then.
