Fasting Day #11 - Blessed with a 1-pound loss this morning, praise the Lord. Allowing myself the 12-oz. can of Diet Coke each day has really helped, and I'm still getting in more than enough water. Continuing to drink about 8-oz. of salt water a day has helped me to not get dehydrated. Of all the fasts I've ever done in my life, God has made this the easiest one, and I'm truly thankful for that. So far, there haven't been any major temptations to have to try to resist, and I haven't "mourned" the loss of food as I have in the past. God is good!

That’s a long fast🤕. Three days is more than enough! Maybe take shorter fasts more often 👍🏻

Does that mean you haven't eaten in 11 days or it's spread out over time? I hope it's the later.

You know to be careful with that fast, because the goal might health. But I am sure you have this! All the best.🌸

@angie-leigh, for me, it is actually easier to do an extended fast than it is to do a 18-6 or 20-4. When I'm eating, I have a really hard time saying no to ANY food I want, and I struggle to keep the portion size manageable. I'm praying God will give me total control over these addictive behaviors. @LISfifty @Carol Vaquera and @buddy81755, thank you for your concern. I've been doing fasts very occasionally since I was 20 years old (now 66) and have done a lot of research about extended fasting during that time. In March alone, I read seven books about fasting. Though I've never attempted a fast this long (21-30 days was my longest before - can't remember whether I did the 30, or it was just 21), I've never had any ill effects from them. Also, there is a lot of benefit to be gained by fasting. For one, it gives my digestive system time to take a nice long break. Also, it kicks in autophagy, which rids your body of dead blood cells and sort of does a general house-cleaning job of your innards. @jimmiepop, @Shredness, @damablack13, @jwsalax and @ridermariel thank you for your support and encouragement. I appreciate you taking the time to share encouraging words with me and to cheer me on. @Snowwhite100, thank you ever so much for your faithful prayers for me! I know you care about me, and I appreciate you bringing me before the Lord, sister!
