Shrewdness's Journal, 19 Aug 21

Al, my hubby, was ready to come home from the hospital yesterday, but again using the restroom totaled him, where he couldn’t breath and lost all of his energy, so they’re keeping him one more day.
I am at the dilemma of getting the trailer moved.
I have a guy that will help me up there, but I need to go to the mountains, and I can’t go until I know what’s up with my husband in the hospital. I’m not leaving him till he’s safe and home!
Now my son can’t find his keys, he thinks he dropped them in one of the trash cans that are out in front for pickup!😯
So now, I moved my car so he could move the cans to the back where there’s light. 🥺
Weird, it is 3:50 am, he works the night shift, which is good for he always had messed up sleep habits.
I hope he dropped them in the trash or we are doomed if he can’t find his keys.😳 He has lost everything his whole life, two weeks ago it was his phone. 🙃
If I would have lost as many pounds as he has lost stuff, in just this year, I would be at goal! 😒
If you ever get locked out of your house...
Talk to your lock calmly. Communication is key. 😊
I can only imagine if I was him, I’d be so frustrated!
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most!😁
Have a Tremendous Thursday!🌺

LMAO. #1 left his whole freaking wallet in the Balkans. I was like, dude, how did you get home? "I dunno, I had my passport and a little cash..." Wishing DH a speedy and full recovery.

Oh, boy! I hope your son finds his keys. So stressful! Well, mentally it sounds like hubby is ready to come home, now his body just needs to catch up. It will! 🙏 I understand about feeling comfortable with Al’s needs before heading to get the trailer. Congrats on your weight drop! 👏👏🎉⭐️

Sorry about your troubles and glad Al is feeling good enough to want to go home. My Dad in hospital once for heart issues was told he might get to go home the next day. He was up and dressed the next morning before nurses or doctor had a chance to come in his room! If he had his keys he might have just gone home on his own. He was finished with their hospitality! Best wishes for trailer moving success and key diving! My hubby has passed his lost key habits on to our son! Try looking in the car in the ignition!

just a thought shrewd, he might be safer in the hospital while you retrieve the trailer than he would be at home or on the road with you. get his status and make sure you're comfortable with it if they decide to keep him a little longer. I also have someone in my life who loses keys a lot and they were quite annoyed when I kept the spare to their car. they wanted to know why. told them that it's because I'm the one who gets the call that you can't find your keys and you're at "enter location here". It's easier for me to have them here and not have to go to the apartment and find them and then go to wherever you are.

Shrewd, sounds like things are beginning to come together (except for the son's keys). Hope life can return to peace and quiet and good health soon. My older son once lost his keys in the snow when he was living in Nashville, had to climb thru a window of his 2nd story apartment (don't ask how he got up there).

We have a key hunt at least weekly in our family. I stay well away from it. I am still weak and running lunatics are a danger!😂😂 somehow they turn up within 1 foot of their regular spot!! So very glad your hubs is close to coming home home. Life can become normal again then. Wonderful news. Hope his strength comes back faster in the safety of home.

Maybe it's time to get him one of those key locator gadgets for his key chain.

Shrewd, I looked up indomitable spirit in the dictionary and low and behold if your picture wasn't there! Laughing in the face of adversity is ballet, but I know the real steel in your spine comes from your faith. Still praying for both of you (all 3 of you and the keys?) until he's all the way out of the woods!

Even in the state of turmoil, you manage to maintain your sense of humor. That is very admirable.

I recommend getting a Tile. It can locate your phone & keys, as long as you don’t lose both at the same time 😂 www.thetileapp.com

Mariel, the worse part is I forgot my glasses and had to wear glasses at work that made me look like Poindexter.😁
