Good Thursday to you all! I had a good day yesterday. I had more calories than I HAVE been having (1,872), but it was still comfortably under 2,000. Got in lots of fruits and veggies: watermelon, cherries, a mini cucumber, half a beefsteak tomato (on a bacon sandwich, YUM!), and baby lima beans. Weight is up a hair this morning, but it is just because I didn't have a BM. Knee was still better yesterday, only hurting at about 25% of the pain level it had been at. I haven't had to take a pain pill for four days! Just using the Diclofenac cream a couple of times a day.

Today, I MIGHT have to go into our above-ground pool to clean it. It depends on whether the hose repair my husband made holds up to water pressure. We're going to test it with the garden hose before we go to the trouble of putting it back onto the pool. If it DOES hold, we will refill the pool to the level that we can run the pump again.

Oooh, I just accidentally typed "rum" instead of "run," and it made me want to make a Rum Cake! Just checked my Cook Book, and a very thin slice (1/24th of cake) has almost 300 calories. Don't think I'm resolute enough to be able to limit portion size or number of times I'd eat it in a day, so not going to yield to that one!

Back to the pool - if I DO have to clean it, it will mean climbing up and down the pool ladder. Last time I did that, I could hardly stand on my knee the next day. UGH! The pool hoses that we ordered were supposed to be delivered on Tuesday (after about a 10-day wait), but we got a notice that they would be delayed until August 5th, so we cancelled the order. Don't know if they would really even fit when they arrive. So, my husband duct-taped the cracked hose to see if that will work.

REALLY want a second slice of Dave's Killer Bread toasted with butter this morning. Before I started back on track this week, I would often have two slices at breakfast and 1-3 slices more throughout the day! I LOVE that stuff! But, I've been limiting to one in the morning, and one right before bed. I can work that into my calorie count. With the butter (which I use generously), it is almost 300 calories each time I have it. No wonder I was gaining weight.

OK, I think I might go back to bed for another hour.
