????????? what can I say? I pushed it to my maintenance calories once this week, but overall I averaged 1300 cals per day. I did crack and had 2 glasses of wine 3 times this week, and a whole bunch of cookies. So it might be the booze and cookies, it might not be real at all, or it might be the moon's effect on my body. probably all 3. if so, the scales should drop back down in a couple of days. ...there was also pizza and chips involved in this fiasco😈just goes to show that there's more to it than just calories, because a calorie deficit with pizza, chips wine, and cookies apparently results in weight gain. Next week, when my computer asks me if I want to accept all the cookies, I shall not take it so literally 🙃

It's definitely more than just calories. I'm well under my maintenance Cal's this week, ate a bit of Chinese food and other crap yesterday and have now bloated up 1.5kgs suddenly!

I'm very new to calorie counting, just wondering how much weight would be contributed by fluid retention from salt and sugar?

sophieccole, I'm still figuring it out, but salt and sugar are certainly involved because if I had of eaten a more balanced diet I shouldn't have gained any weight with 1300 cals.

Up to a couple of kgs, I believe! I don't think it's so much sugar, but salt and too many carbs. I regularly add 1 kg over the weekend eating more of these, but it comes off fast.
