I enjoyed the holidays (as you can see from the numbers). However, they ARE a time of celebration and meant to be enjoyed. That being said, they are also only for a time and then we return to living the normal life. It is my belief that we live in a time of luxury we don't usually recognize. Back in the day, when life was not so easy, the extra foods and delicacies and sweets were genuine treats and only able to be spared for legitimate celebrations/holidays. Now we have these things available every day of the year and it devalues the meaning of the holidays and special occasions. So, I enjoyed myself and now I will control myself and ,hopefully, those special occasions will seem more special.
