Doing a lot of exercise for very little weight-loss. I had better have muscle gian when I go for my scan otherwise I will be disappointed is what I will be but that's life will just pick up from there and flow with it.

Hey, you've done brilliantly so far, dropping about 25% of your bodyweight in less than 6 months! We do hit occasional plateaus as the weight comes off, it is rarely a perfectly smooth curve and patience is required. The hardest part (and source of frequent failure for me) has always been sticking at it for long enough to work through the periods when loss slows. Shooting for muscle gain and fat loss simultaneously is a tough act to pull off. I have found that doing weights while dieting is about minimising muscle loss rather than attempting to gain bulk. I've tried to do both a few times, but the two goals seem incompatible. However, we do at least get to look better, as the subcutaneous fat loss leaves us with visually better muscle definition.

Hi Hammertone thanks for the post. You are correct thinking back to my last 2 scans muscle loss was at a minimum. Also I can see the difference in the mirror. I do agree that gaining muscle mass whilst losing fat and losing weight is a big ask. I will give it 2 more weeks and see

Good Luck. Most people tend to lose then tone and build. It's a balancing act.
