Ok time to get real! I’ll be 50 in March & iVe booked a family trip to Vietnam to celebrate yay😊

But one problem...I feel & look like crap!
Years of not caring enough about myself has finally taken its toll, I’m sluggish, bloated & always tired!
Admittedly I’m a mumma of 4, with 2 dogs & a cat to care for, but it’s time to show my babies what self love really looks like!

I’ve been on the verge of depression as Ive gone through early menopause (48) after my brother passed away suddenly last yr. I also suffered from severe endometriosis which screwed over my hormones. I’ve been stuffing my face with carbs & more carbs since and having the worst bloating ever!

But I’m done!

Last week something inside clicked and I’ve been following a loose low carb/Keto ish diet. I had the Keto flu, a massive headache and felt horrible! But today I’ve come through it and I even managed a 40 min run 😊👌

Awesome, that sounds great! Keep it going not just for your family, also for yourself. Tell yourself "spring is on and no one can stop me". That's always cheering me up ;o) I'm sorry for the loss of your brother, I'm always worried about my brother because he's an epileptic and has already nearly died a couple of years ago.. I can feel your pain. I fear the day when my fears turn into pain but I know, we all must go sooner or later..

It sounds like you've been going through a tough time, but good on you for trying to turn things around for the better. It's good to hear you've got through the keto-flu and you did some running. A great achievement. :) That will help with feeling good about yourself and hopefully lessen the depression side of things too. I found that since I make my own sauerkraut, kim-chi, beet kvass and bone broths that I no longer feel bloated, because of the natural probiotics in them. If you'd like to try the recipes, give me a yell and I'd be happy to let you know them - they are very easy to make.

Thanks MistyCloud! 🙏 Yes I’m taking it literally one day at a time. I’m sorting through our garage today, hoping to dust off the old cable weight machine & make room for a little home gym! My 2 eldest girls have been doing little workouts & eating a lot cleaner too for about a month now. They’ve actually inspired me!
