jane.coombe's Journal, 10 Jun 16

ok...I am going to share my utter frustration. I am completely shattered. I decided to change the battery in my scales. Holy comoly....it weighed me nearly 2 kg heavier. It absolutely shattered me. I want to throw the scales away or smash them. Alas I did neither. So I ate some food. Then just logged it in the journal and behold, I actually didnt over eat. Hmmm, it seems even angry eating is controlled.
I will not log my weight until I remove the 1.8 extra the scales and new battery say is on my body.
I will run tomorrow and the next day. I will begin strength training and I will teach those scales who is the real boss.
Stupid scales.
Stupid battery.
Grrrrrrrrrr

I did the same thing and got a similar result. What I also did was jump on a friends scale to check mine was correct.

oh man! That's so annoying! Good on you for not overeating after though - that's great! And I love the determination for the exercise, that'll get rid of the weight fast! Keep it up sister!

Jtid I remember reading your post, thinking at the time, how awful. Too right its awful. I tried to overeat, thought I was overeating. It surprised me that I had portioned the not so gr8 food automatically. I will get over this but golly gosh...grrrrrr.

Jane, why don't you enter a historical weight that is the 1.8 higher and that way when you get down to what you were before the battery change, you will have included your loss. Jenn

Aw hon. That's a bit of a mind$%&@ when that happens. Try to set it aside. You know yourself when u r doing all the right things. Do u also do periodic measurements (bust, waist, hip etc). i find that really helps. If the scales seem unfair, body measurements can tell the truth can tell u the truth...
