Car accident on way to work (6.50am) on Dunheved Rd
(just pass John Batman Ave)
travelling toward St Marys.

FWD - stopped suddenly for Ducks crossing the road, I swerved toward the brake-down lane - missing the FWD. The car behind me
(A Red Honda Jazz)
collided with the rear of my car... The FWD drove off
(possibly unaware of the accident he caused)
..

The Honda & I moved off the road into the brake-down lane... After checking that each other was alright we exchanged details
(Names & Phone numbers)
& took photos of damage to both vehicles, & photos of each other drivers licences... I also had him take a photo of my registration papers.. He could not provide his - Said it was his fathers car - only just got it registered after having someone side swipe it just a few weeks ago.. (damage from that was still visible on the passenger side

Driver of the Honda rang his father who informed him to ring the police.. He rang police who after asking him questions advised him to call the police tow centre, as his car was not-drivable... The driver then advised me that I could go as my car was drivable & no-one was hurt.. I asked him if he wanted me to stay until the tow truck arrived - He replied "NO, I will ring my dad".. I stayed another 5 - 10 mins just making sure he was infact alright before leaving the scene.

On way home I used car Bluetooth & rang Alicia

@ 7.10am for advice as I was unsure what to do next - never been in accident before. She
(After checking I had all details)
advised me to contact my insurance & they will help.

Once home I had a cup of coffee to steady my nerves & then rang AAMI Approx 7.30am. Sarah took all my details of the accident, gave me a Claim number & booked my car with repairer (SMART repairs in St Marys) for 9.15am, A Hire car for 1 week & taxi to take me between Repairer & Hertz hire car in Penrith (both to pick up hire car & after hire car is returned) - all with no cost to me (except $200 bond for hire car - which I get back when I return car).. .

9.50am I was travelling back home in the hire car (Red Corolla hatch) that was organised..

At 10.12am - I sent Daniel
(the other driver in accident)
my Claim number from AAMI, asking him to contact them for any other info regarding our accident, that he may need.

Doing the 5:2 Diet with Robin & Alicia at work..
Today is one of the 2 days I am not allowed any more then 500 calories.
