I recognised the causes of the weight gain and why I am not beating myself up about it.🤔
1. Just because coke's no sugar or coke zero has no calories doesn't mean it won't affect my body losing weight. Somehow it does! So will only treat myself to one a week and go back to drinking my favourite...water.
2. Not all Kombucha is sugar free and it does have calories. This too must be restricted in my diet.
3. If family members are not taking my diet seriously, then don't let them cook for me or serve up my meal "portions" I know what I can and can't eat and how much grrrr.
4. Exercising the last 2 weeks has toned up my muscles, though the scales say I've increased weight, my clothes show I've lost weight.
5. I enjoyed drinking herbal teas but this past week I'd been drinking too many teas with milk.
my bad 🤣
6. This week weigh in was done in 5 days since last late entry. Ah well. 😊

You are so right about the Coke Zero The reason is basically when we drink it whilst it hasn’t got calories our taste buds detect sweetness so it sends a signal to the brain telling it we’ve had sugar and for the pancreas to release insulin to deal with it So it’s kinda due to the insulin issue that it can effect weight loss That’s the layman’s version of it anyway. Wow I didn't know about that, good to know. I Deep down I knew it was doing something wrong. And yes it also made me crave sugar and made me more hungry than normal. Thanks for the info 👍

Lol. No worries It was explained to me by a endocrinologist so his explanation would be so much better. Ha ha

I heard similar about artificial sweeteners. I have been making pots of T2 loose leaf tea then chilling it in the fridge. It makes a lovely cold drink. No sugar added but the tea has great natural flavours.
