I'm so disappointed with the little amount of weight lost since last weigh in 15 days ago which was the same weight 8 days before that at 88kgs!
Extremely discouraged! I should have lost 3 -5 kgs by now! The amount of exercising I have been pushing myself to do everyday has been punishing and so mentally forced by my own determined will even when I felt tired.
I really believed this time my weight would fall off. I'm on 1200 calories per day.
I have watched my intake of my food and drinks including cutting out all sweets, cakes, fats, junkfood, snacks, fastfood and flavoured drinks. I don't drink alcohol or softdrinks. I eat fish and seafood, no other meat. Why is it NOT coming off!!!?
There's a small indication of body change ie I can now wear a proper support bra instead of a sports bra, as its not digging into my excess skin. My jeans are looser around my thighs and butt. I still have flab around my hips and belly.
Oh come on this is ridiculous!!!
The Drs are crap and rude they are not listening to me. They make me so angry I want to punch them in the face when they say I'm in denial, telling me all I do is feed my face and don't exercise and tell me its "menopause" and "well you ARE 56!"
grrrr I have been complaining to them that something is wrong with my body since I was seriously ill at 41! I've always been fit, slim at 54kgs even after 4 children.
not coping!! feeling depressed 😥

Maybe you're converting fat to muscle or need to drop the calories down a bit. I'm currently following the Fast800 Keto diet which allows 800 calories per day. The book states that contrary to previous advice rapid weight loss is not bad. I lost 3.5kg in the first week so very encouraged.

Ryzome- yes I've had assistance from my nutritionalist and the 1200 calories is her recommendation. I'm unintentionally averaging under that amount each day. I also eat 2 meals a day 3 or 4 times a week. I drink plenty of water...I love water. True its possible my fat is converting to muscle...yay I can see muscle forming.

My weight stayed the same for a month a while back with no change. I know it's very disheartening but make sure to take body measurements as well as weighing yourself. Sometimes the body is building muscle which weighs more than fat. You said your clothes feel looser so I feel you are still losing and making good progress, even if it doesn't show on the scales.

Hello! I actually recommend increasing your calorie intake and the amount of red meats you eat. Your metabolism decreases when you eat less protein and calories! Also, eating too little can cause your body to end up burning away muscles instead of fat... So I'm a tad worried! Maybe try sticking to losing 0.75 to 1kg a week instead of something drastic. If that doesn't work to you, you can always go back to the way you're losing weight right now. Anyways, Good luck on your fitness Journey!

George atsaves- thankyou for your concern and advice. The only meat I eat is fish, prawns, oysters and squid. I'm vigilant in choosing foods with protein and low in fats. My carbs are not low just average, I need my carbs for the exercises, I'm very active. I'm discovering which foods my body can't tolerate or digest well, so I decrease or eliminate those foods ie mature or hard cheese (Tryptophan causes excessive drowsiness) I've replaced with high protein cottage cheese(no reaction). I've an exercise physio who is monitoring me. I'm building muscle while losing the fat and flab. Yay
