No weight lost since the 4th day on this diet. What’s the point. I don’t believe that eating all this fat is remotely going to help me. I lost 2kgs of water in the first 4 days and then have stayed the same ever since. I’m about to give up because it’s soooooo bloody boring & Im not even getting bang for my buck.

Thanks Trish - I can exercise but it's depressing that it just hasn't made a difference. I weighed myself again this morning and I'm 200 grams fatter.VERY disheartenening. I appreciate the support & I'll keep going for the month my doctor suggested but I think I'll probably move on to the Meditteranean Diet. I don't think it's natural to exclude fruit and to eat so much fat. This diet is sure not making me happy...

Look into a diet called 'changing habits'. I know a few people who have had MASSIVE success with it!

heya northside lady. i do the fast 800 diet (they call it way of life) and you start by eating 800 cals a day for 8-12 weeks (i did 8) and then 800 twice a week and eat to you tdee every other day. whilst i have gone over what i should eat about 10 times since jan 1 this year, i have lost 30kg and not found it too hard. it has taken quite a lot of thought and pork, chicken, pumpkin and cauliflower made up most of my early days, though now i eat a huge range. theres a fb group that is very supportive and they have a list of green , orange and red foods. the green is for till u get to your weight then yellow for maintaining and red ..well its a red alert. my partner does it also and has lost 20kg , but doesnt have as much to lose as i did. the tdee can be calculated by doing a search for a tdee calculator and trying a few to get a feel. they are all slightly diff but i settled on one that seemed good enough. check it regularly as it changes as your weight decreases. whatever u choose to do, good luck ..you got this :)

Thanks so much Keton77 - I will message you! That sounds great! Liv001 I've been on no more than 30g carbs per day, at least 35% protein and the rest seems to be fat!!!

Probably better that you shift to something else. Try to research it and be careful to follow it. Mediterranean may be a good choice for you.

I have been calorie counting since February this year. 1200 calories per day on average and I have lost 4 kg!! Not a lot but as a diabetic I’m quite pleased with the results. Keep on trying, don’t give up! Any loss is better than none!

may I ask if you are counting carbs or net carbs?

Have you tried adding more protein and drinking more water. Weight loss is 80% nutrition 20% weight training/exercise

Hi all, I joined here on 13th March and have tried to stick to 1200 cals...had a few bad days...but sticking it out. I have as of today,3 months, lost 8kg.. moderately happy as I’m in my70s and cannot exercise due to arthritis and back probs...can’t even go walking as it is too painful. When I was working I lost 20kg in the same amount of time but obviously I was more active and had great support at work. Then 6 months after that my son passed away due to complications of quadriplegia and bit by bit the weight came back. It’s sad to reflect on that and how hard it is to lose that weight now on my own. I love reading all the suggestions and advice and recipes. Keeps me going, just takes longer.
