Oops!!!
Weight jumped after feasting on a whole bbq chicken pizza. I thought to give my body a nice cheat treat into the 6th week of the challenge.

So today and tomorrow will be no carb day well very low as I will be eating veges and keep carbs around 100g.

Hopefully will get back on track as planned

Cheers

It seems to be the case that a cheat day seems to have an immediate effect at the start of a diet but less of an effect at the end. I feel you. Keep up your healthy eating.

hahaha, that escalated quickly from adding in a bit of icecream and a few cookies... are they like gateway carbs 😂

That’s the good thing about carb loading when you have been on moderate carb and hasn’t reached the new maintenance you wake up the next day with your muscles feel fuller and feel tight. I guess my next big carb up will be at the end of the challenge and before final photo fingers crossed

I'm still trying to catch your fire for the weights... As I loose weight, I am seeing that walking is burning fewer and fewer calories and I know building muscle will bump that calorie burn back up... Once I reach my maintenance weight, I would also like to do pizza again occasionally without it just melding to my body as fat 😀

Working out in the gym has helped me throughout my mid 30s on off but it helped me getting back to being more active getting those joints moving again lots of stretching relieved from old injuries. When I first joined the gym I met this guy who is nearly 70 and he looked 50s very muscly. After 2 years he said to me I see you starting to be more consistent and gaining muscles and then he said if you’re still lifting weights when you’re 45 whatever you do don’t stop it will do you good and for your longevity as well.

Sorry to say but the thing here is that you still seem to have that fondest relationship with food. As long as that relationship continues, even though you lose weight you will be put back. You need to seek out the trigger that makes you overeat. Whenever we consume more than the body requires then that gets stored as extra fat in the body.

Bestees.au I’m used to have limited variety of food when cutting weight so now I’m experimenting with all foods even ones called bad food by some it’s all about being accountable cheers

@udtres ok makes sense. Then was it the lack of portion control that put back the weight? I guess we can eat a piece of pizza or a whole pizza to satisfy our craving. Also, important to note the macros in what we consume. Anything that is heavy with carbs will stop burning fat and store that instead.

@bestees.au all part of my experimenting cheers

Ok. I have experimented with eating melon for daise dose fruits. Melon is very low in calories and pretty much no fat or carbs not proteins😃. It kept me full for sure and bowel movement was great. Only issue was my body was retaining water.
