WOW!!! I've actually done it!! Hit my 3rd and final goal of 65kg. Down from 97.7kg! I'm so happy right now because I have a feeling of accomplishment. I'm no longer chasing a number, it's here and I feel amazing. Now I need to learn how to maintain and improve my body composition further through strength training. I think it's going to be important for me to keep striving for personal improvement so I don't go back to where I came and keep moving forward. Good luck to you all, it's not easy but it is truly worth it!

Sending strength your way. Every day I still battle with making the right choices but most days I get there! Just take it day by day.

What an amazing loss. Truly inspiring. Can I ask how long it took you? I have a similar amount to lose and it currently feels like I’m in Avery long tunnel with no light in sight 😳😬

Hi Fiona, I lost 30 kg in 8 months. Then I went into maintanance because I had hit my healthy BMI. Then I decided to go a little further and have some wiggle room. So I've been on the ketogenic diet since October last year and I am loving this way of eating. So if I lose a bit more great but I'll be upping my cals by 100 a week until I stop losing so I can find where my maintanance is. Its a slow but rewarding journey. In the grand sheme of things, what's 6 months. 8 months or a year in the gtand scheme of things when you can end up being healthy and happy for life. Its so worth it. Don't give up.

Congrats. I lost about 18kgs in about 2 months, while also gaining significant muscle mass. Have reached a point I can gain or lose as much as I like pretty quickly, and eat more on average than I did when much heavier. Quite proud of myself, but I must concede, reaching a goal can make things trickier, especially when you know its easy to reach it again. Complacency can creep in. I suggest keeping up chasing goals/targets.

Needle, thats a great spot to be in. Ive really enjoyed strength training and seeing the muscle definition sneek in is a great motivator to strive for more! My daughter enjoys working out with me so that's great. What diet did you follow to get off 18kg in 2 months?

aras78: I actually didn't follow a diet. All I did was keep calories to under 2500 a day and made sure my sugar intake was no more than 40g and fat no more than 30. I also walk/run for about an hour a day, do 20 minutes of ab training, and between 20 and 30 minutes of weight training a day (will have about 3 days rest a month). For someone in their mid 40's I found it surprisingly easy. Had sat on my ass for the last 20 years, but still found it super easy when some effort was applied.
