In the last 6months I have lost 9kg. Slow I know. Medication for my heart has slowed my progress. But I have been enjoying my healthy eating. Finding the secret carbs in my food has been helpful. Enjoy your journey this year. I have a lot of weight to lose, I'm going to be around for a long while.

Hi Siss, congratulations on the 9 kg loss, I know from my own experience how much this means. Keep up the good work. Sounds like you have a good nutrition plan in place. 👍🏼🌟 I am also on some heart medications, for arrhythmia, and I’m not able to do cardio, but I’ve been walking, doing light weights, and in recent weeks, exercises and stretches in the local swimming pool (they have a nice big heated hydrotherapy pool, bonus!). Building muscle really helps with weight loss - and it is easy enough to do if you’re on a lower carb, higher protein diet. Some simple exercises with hand weights ranging from 500g to 3kg will be enough to build up muscle for the first few months. Look up exercises with dumbbells for back and arms online. There are some great videos showing simple routines. Walking first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, the first five minutes at the fastest pace you can comfortably manage, kickstarts fat burning for the day, and this continues for several hours afterwards.
