Time for an Autumn Offensive in the Weight Wars. I'm now well enough to exercise again, after a very slow recovery from my last course of chemo.

Nutrition is now the big challenge as I developed some horrible eating habits through the period when I felt I was unlikely to survive (confectionary, chocolate, biscuits, and lots of nuts and dried fruits as well as too much fresh fruit.)

Mornings are okay, my breakfast bowl of porridge covers me till lunch, but my tricky period is grazing through the afternoon.

Seeing a small drop in weight today should provide a good incentive to keep working on reducing the snacking.

👍🏻 Well done! As for afternoon grazing try having a lot of cold water, followed by a huge bowl of salad 🥗 or steamed vegetables - all the non-starchy ones ie not potato or sweet potato or corn - but all the rest. If you eat enough of these you don’t need extra carbs and your body will be burning extra calories to digest it all. I don’t use salad dressing, just lemon juice and paprika- also said to have a thermogenic effect.

I drink Shred (a low calorie high protein drink, with lots of amino acids.. I add a teaspoon of physillum husk powder and it keeps me full between meals only 120cals.
