Hammertone's Journal, 21 May 21

I did not feel like eating from after lunch till I had a late breakfast this morning. Rare for me, but missing a meal certainly won't hurt me.

I know that unless you are doing something extremely arduous, you can't get this sort of drop in weight over 24 hours, so I'll enjoy it for today, knowing it will rise tomorrow.

The plan now is to see if I can regain control of my eating, using this figure as a motivator. I need to rein in the volume I eat because my HbA1c last week was the worst it has been in over 12 years (excluding the odd reading that was taken while I was in the steroids phase of chemotherapy. 10x4mg tabs of Dexamethasone for four days at the start of each chemo cycle drives your blood sugars crazy.)

Grazing driven by boredom is a biggie for me. I can't drive, or walk any distance from neuropathy, RSI in my hand stops me from rowing or doing weights and I can't play my drums either, which neatly covers most of the things I like to do.

So, I guess I'd best go into weight loss mode. That is, go back to daily weigh-ins, measure what I eat, avoid snacking and try to keep my mind and my hands occupied.
