Shedding da weight!!! peri-menopausal you are so under my feet, 💪 now I'm the one in control!
(pats myself on the back), made it to my stepping goal of 70kgs. Now for my next target of 65kgs.
70 kg Lost so far: 22 kg.    Still to go: 16 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

I can't wait to see the 70s in my scales. menopause made me 30 kgs heavier so I have much work ahead of me

Mials11, one day you will. Don't give up xxx Peri menopause did the same to me, a gain of 38kgs! I'm hoping women will be encouraged that its possible to gain the upper hand to control our weight, a way that works for each individual. For me at this stage, is keeping below 1200cals daily, keeping active and avoiding foods that cause cravings ie foods high in sugars.

I try to stick to 1000cals a day and not to go over 1300. It's annoying that 1900 is the figure that apparently keeps your weight the same but for me I put on weight if I go over 1300. Bread and potatoes are my enemies!

has anyone else found that their body is having more trouble shifting the weight peri and post menopause? My metabolism is so sluggish since the last time I tried to shed some weight. I'm finding it really hard to shift this time. it's really bloody frustrating!

I put on weight continuously from the perimenopause period and I couldn't start losing weight until menopause was completely over. Metabolism has dropped considerably. Ageing is a b*****.
