lizpackard09's Journal, 28 Aug 22

A few months ago I started trying to stretch the length of time between my last food at night (inc. my milky cuppa before bed) and breakfast... have not gotten much past 12-14 hours as yet but it does seem to help give my body time to deal with all the food from the day 😀 I have found now that spring is here it's getting harder to not just have one last brew and do a few more things around the house before going to bed...old habits -lol...

Liz - we do things the opposite (morning bs evening drink) but wanted to share what I learnt from the F800 and intermittent fasting. I stop eating after dinner which is normally no later than 8pm and then don’t eat food again before 1pm the next day. I do however have a coffee (small with full fat milk) at around 10am and according to Michael Mosley one drink like this does not break the fast! I don’t think I could do it without that coffee! Now I find it so easy so I am just have lunch and dinner for my 800 calories and many days when I really want to give my gut a break I have bone broth (which is filling, full of nutrients and only 11 calories) for lunch and just have dinner (like today).

Thanks Malgaynor, I had seen you mention the F800 but wasn't sure what it was. I know I'm on this journey for a looooong time, so have been slowly making changes that I feel I can sustain... So far the 1200 - 1250 cal/day seems to be working for me, provided I watch my macros (BC a packet of Red Rock chips fits into that cal range 😬) and opt for the best quality food I can afford, but I'm still open to trying options to tweak my routine 👍
