Having had a meltdown over the weekend, I finally found the motivation to start getting healthy. Maybe the motivation found me. Whatever way around, I am feeling positive and determined. This is the beginning of the new me. 3 years ago I finally left an abusive situation, one which has damaged my back permanently. Feeling sorry for myself, I have let myself get overweight because I have been in the "it shouldn't have happened to me' part of my brain. Now I am in the "I don't give a s*#@ that it happened to me, I am NOT going to let it ruin my life. It has taken 2 years to get my back under control (with meds, chiro & physio) and 3 years to get my head sorted..... but I now want to get my life back, want to get rid of the non-specific fatty liver disease and excessive weight. I am starting Body Balance at home, a mixture of Tai Chai, Pilates and Yoga, plus following a low-carb, healthy diet. I'm drinking plenty of water and have cut out sugar in my coffee. Small steps I know, but they are steps in the right direction and I can (and intend) to build on them. Onwards and upwards Missy McBlubber

I began my journey with a meltdown also! I let others affect my mental and physical health for years. I now realize nothing is my fault, they cannot get to me and I'm not going to feel like shit anymore 🥳 Well done getting to this point 💜

I admire your determination but you have set yourself a very large target for weight loss. 10-15 % is sufficient for health benefits but you have chosen a whopping 30%. You said you were 'under tall' but for 50kg to be in the mid- healthy weight range (BMI 22ish) you would have to be less than 150cm tall... Please don't overdo it and make yourself ill. Have a review half way and see how you feel.
