My weight has not really moved for a month now. It is way too soon into the journey for that to happen.
So I have been thinking of what I am doing wrong. Sure I got older since last time but at 36 I still should have a chance to get rid of these extra Kgs.
See, I am one of those people who read Dr. Atkins' book 20 years ago. And I believe in that, not the new wishy-washy business orientated New Atkins. So I became suspicious of my Atkins Endulge Chocolate Breaks that I have been having as snacks. Mind you I sort of lost faith when they removed "Phase" from the packages. It used to say which phase the snack is appropriate for.
I looked into the ingredients of my favorite "low carb" snack. Among other things, it has: Rice Flour, Potato Starch, Teff Flour and Soy Flour.
I felt betrayed. There is a certain trust when you buy a brand like Atkins, and you do not expect them to cheat like that. I am now going back to the original book which I read many times before and go back to basics as much as possible.
There might also be some hormonal issues that I am trying to deal with and hopefully, then we will see some movement.
