Hmm curiouser and curiouser 🤔 Have no clue why I'm increasing in weight on the scales.
My clothes are getting so loose, my bras are baggy, even my undies keep slipping down 🤣 I tried on a skirt I once wore in 2009 that was really tight around my waist, it barely sits on my hips and ready to slip off. I was beaming to read the size 12 label 🥰. So off to the shops for new underwear and tees. From size 16DD (I really needed 18DD cup) down to a 14C - Oh gosh I can now wear comfortable pretty ones (no more fleshly bulges or the bra sitting away from my rib cage) Oh the feeling is so delightful and I didn't mind modeling them to my hubby!! Yesterday I had to return the size 14 T-shirt as I ended up needing a size 10!! 🥳
My scales 🤷‍♀️ on the other hand tell a different story.

Isn’t it funny we are all in our head trying to work out why something is working or not working and really if you feel you clothes are different then you know. My doctor told me to stop weighing cause I retain fluid and have inflammation…. And I am reluctant to do this as how do I remain accountable, although I think I could stretch it out till every two weeks.

I totally get that about the look/ feel/comparison vs scales and being accountable. 🙄 I'm assuming its muscle gain and fluid gain. My peri menopausal hot flushes these last few weeks have not been fun. Those rainy days and nights have been bliss 😊 thank you everyone for your support.

Yeah muscle mass sounds legit? This happened to me too, I’m down to a size 12-14 from a size 16-18 but I still don’t weight much less! But have a lot more muscle now, and I read too if you gain more muscle you Also gain more blood which increases the water weight too. I found a good way to chart ‘progress’ is by measuring all your areas- waist, hips, thighs, arms , butt etc keep them in a journal cos that’s how you notice your body changing. Weight can be misleading If you look and feel good and drop sizes then that’s awesome progress!

I think it sounds like you are doing wonderfully. The scales are a guide but we aren’t jockeys that have to have a certain weight. We are people wanting to have a healthier happier and more energetic life by improving our eating habits and getting rid of unwanted fat. Well done !

Must be because you're turning into a weight loss machine! Steel weighs more than fat 💪💪💪😉😉😉 I absolutely love digging up old clothes that now fit me again - it's just so encouraging to have that tangible evidence of your progress.

Totally agree with you TDX00.

Maybe try going by measurements instead of weight, they’re normally more accurate than scales

Your post has cracked me up 🤣🤣🤣 I have been experiencing the same, but there has been no modelling around here... I'm a different shape on the way back down through the sizes 🤣

How exciting! Correct me if I'm wrong, but when you're more muscly don't you get to eat more? (in a well balanced way of course!)
