TreesLaugh's Journal, 20 Dec 22

Still same on the scales but my clothes are hanging loose and need taking in. My size 14 jeans are so baggy I thought I was accidently wearing my old size 16's! My favourite May Gibb print fabric vests I made are loose and not tailor fitted anymore, though still look lovely on. I can now wear shop sized 10 dresses, nighties and blouses! I'm starting to think my body is happy staying at 62kgs on the scales (I'm 5'2" tall.) I'm truly having a ball sewing clothes for myself and... I look n feel 'right' wearing them. I actually feel like me again!! healthy and comfortable. It's been a long battle but I did it!! 🤗

I love that you are still sewing clothes for yourself even when you can walk into any shop and buy them readymade ❤️ If there are any advantages to having been overweight, one for sure is how great you feel when you lose it... Anyone who has not lived with excess weight could never understand the joys of getting your life back... so regardless of how much you might still have to go in order to get to your 'goal' weight... Congratulations on getting to where you are now 🎉 Healthy and comfortable is a pretty good place to be 😉

Lizpackard- I can totally agree with your statement. People who stop me in the street to compliment me on my outfits especially my vests, have no idea how much weight I once was, it certainly makes me smile. I'm surprised that even young women between 16 and early 20's are commenting on my clothes. It's grand wearing one of a kind, unique and fitted clothing that's feminine and not frumpy! I love sewing 🪡🧵 also its a huge incentive not to put weight back on!😉
