It can be demotivating when we put in all this work, only to have no pay-off. It seems that you've had an increase of 200grams. Yes, it's an increase, but it's not 2kilos. There can be many reasons-fluid build up, constipation, salt, sugar etc. If you're logging on this app, check your macros. Is your diet carb-heavy? How are your sugar/salt levels? Are you getting enough fibre? It seems like your working really hard, and it's only been a few days since your last weigh in. Yes, losing weight is harder as we get older, but don't give up! Try to use the scales either on the same day of the week, or daily, and at the very start of the day. My heaviest days are usually Saturday and Sunday, and my lightest days are Tuesday and Wednesday. We fluctuate throughout the week. If you stay consistent, the changes will come 💚

It may take sometime to see the results. You are doing great. Remember that the end game of loosing weight is to be healthy and happy. A small story about Cortisol, when we are on a weightloss journey, by reducing the calorie intake and burning more calories we want our metabolism to get energy by burning the fat storage in the body. However, sometimes our body activates cortisol when it detects we are starving. Cortisol's function is to store food for later and when it gets activated in times of wanting to lose weight, the less calories we consume goes straight into fat deposits instead of using it as energy. That's why it's important not to shock our body with too many things in a short time.
