Hammertone's Journal, 25 Oct 15

It's exactly six weeks today since I commenced this Spring Offensive in my ongoing and very long running Weight War (which spans decades.)

I have dropped 7.3kg thus far, which is pleasingly on track. When I attain my interim goal of 80kg,(assuming boredom doesn't stop me first) I'll think about another target, depending how much belly fat I have left.

I am old enough to still think in pounds and stones and I reckon 16lbs sounds a damn sight more impressive than 7 kilos, so in my head, it is 16 pounds I've dropped. :)

.I am starting to crave sweet things and am fantasying about taking a day off and doing some serious eating!

This will depend on whether or not my sugar craving trumps the pulsing of my guilt gland. Time will tell which wins this battle, superego or id.

well done that's an awesome effort.instead of sugar try making a sweet out of xylitol or something similar(sugar alcohol) so it doesn't spike your blood sugar and find yourself going into a sugar addiction. have a great day!!!

Thanks, Lena. Good thought re xylitol. I'll be using some sort of sugar substitute and make something that's reasonably sensible. It's been too much work to blow it lightly. (I eat a low GI diet and am mindful of avoiding high GI carbs, but my downfall is quantity rather than quality.)
