I went to a 6 day whole food plant based immersion group 2 weeks ago. It was an eye opener to witness the leanest people eat such copious amounts of food and remain so slim. I ate more than i ever have, 4 meals a day. At first i was worried about eating so many calories and my stomach bloated out but now 2 weeks later its settling down and the scales tell me not to fear. (i havent done a FS weigh in since december but i was at 54.8kg)
I did know to eat this way but i lost my path under the vegan label. You see the word vegan and think its ok to eat...this caught me out and before you know it you are buying the latest vegan magnums and cornettos to hit the shops and starving yourself inbetween the treats! Its definitely a constant journey. One has to keep finding the main path again in this modern day world of overstocked shelves brimming with processed nommies.
Whole Food Plant Based, no oil! Eat plenty and be healthy. <3

It truly is a journey isn't it? I went completely vegan in June of 2015 but gained a bunch of weight. I hit 250 lbs in April of 2016 but started learning how to eat Whole Food plant based. I ended up losing 60 lbs in the course of 1 year, getting rid of the salt, sugar, oil, flour, etc. I did regain about 15 lbs and I still struggle with the weight but am holding steady between 205-210 the past year so I've kept off most of it. I am still working on getting rid of the oil and salt-every meal out is a nightmare, even at vegan restaurants. Keep up the good work and walking the path. All those non nutritive, habit forming, food like substances lining the shelves at stores may as well be cigarettes or heroin; their only purpose is entertainment.
