Hubby is down to 93.8kg and started going to gym. I am so proud of him.

My Bellicon Rebounder arrived 3 days ago and its seriously so much fun!

Arms are aching from weight training so thats a good sign. Gasped and sweated last night doing a decent work out on the Rebounder. After 5 mins recuperating I wanted to get back on again.
Energy levels are good, constipation has almost ceased (TMI), state of mind is great.
Getting out and riding my bike everyday to the shops to buy fresh food and bouncing on a mini-trampoline makes me feel young again.
So far I am loving this switch in my diet. Its so nice to eat during the day without guilt or fear that the scales will go up. As soon as the meat is cleared from my freezer I hope to test out a vegetarian, maybe even vegan, lifestyle. (not sure about full on vegan as we have our own chickens who roam my entire garden and have a very very happy healthy life)

I am such a carnivore, a vegetarian lifestyle would make me very sad. To each his own, we all have to find what works for us that we can stick to.

Iam vegetarian and have been for over 40 years, a really long time. I didn't have a problem with weight until i started eating hot chips and bread. I've cut those out and am still on the shakes diet until I lose a bit more, if I don't lose for a few days I'll have a two egg omelette with a tomato this seems to start the weight loss again although slow. Had hoped to lose all the excess weight by Christmas but not sure if that will be possible. If hungry in the evening I eat raw carrots that I've cut up during the day. Wish the TV didn't keep showing food ads in the evening.Sammysylvain, we are a similar weight will watch with interest how you are doing. Good Luck, I think you'll like the Vegetarian diet. I never ever think of meat although I cook it for my husband. But having said that he really likes the vegetarian dishes too.

Oh yes, did anyone see Dr. Oz talking about constipation and how a tsp of olive oil every day stops that and helps with weight loss. I'm going to try it.

Hi Spikspok. ( your name reminds me of spick and span, i can imagine you got a sparkly clean house!) 40 years is a long time, you definitely can teach me a few things! I am currently just watching A LOT of vegan youtubers and getting inspiration from those. I cut bread out of my diet a while ago due to reading "Wheat Belly" book. This was back when I was trying the Paleo diet and started to see carbs as evil. Now I am re-learning that carbs in their whole food state are not evil at all. I know that sounds confusing, I guess having a child with type 1 diabetes lead me down a very confusing road when it came to food, due to panic and fear of losing him. Carbohydrates just meant the dreaded injection. My biggest evening challenge is chocolate and chilli crisps. omgoodness I love the aldis chilli crisps! I am trying to replace that treat with pineapple chunks seasoned with cayenne pepper/chilli flakes. I am a big spice fan, no way could i eat just raw carrots. hehe. I may have to end up like you and concede to cook meat for my husband but hey at the moment hes not complaining too much. As far as Dr Oz, no I dont watch him. I had heard that coconut oil too would do the same thing. I used castor oil myself to get over some really bad constipation and wow you gotta be careful with that stuff.. its powerful, definitely nothing you can take daily so scratch that. That particular problem though has recently cleared up due to the in-season fruits I am currently gobbling down. Thanks for adding me to your buddies. Wishing you all the best to reach your goal.
