Thanks for your words, I am insulin resistant and now learning how this can cause delays to the LCHF WOE, so keeping on with the concept.

i have been doing the 5/2 diet shelley...with fatsecrets food stats ability its pretty easy and very sustainable...in the beginning i was losing about 1kg week and now that is about /13 - 1/2 a kg. until i am able to feel full with smaller portions mushrooms and cauliflower are my friends on these days. i also make a 10 cal cuppa soup with a bit a few mls of tamari, a bit of spring onion and a finely chopped mushroom and just fill the cup with hot water when im feeling hungry on a 500 cal day. if you steer clear of fats and oils you can literally have more food than you can eat . anyway...good luck with it all, you look great to me.

I have been doing LCHF and some IF when I feel I can since July 2016, so far I have lost 37kg. I have also stalled many times and become frustrated, best of luck and just keep with it 😊😊😊

Keep your carbs under 50g a day, preferably around 20g a day and it will start to come of. Also make sure your fat intake is around 60% of your total calories and still make sure your total calories are in deficit but only by about 300 calories per day under maintenance.

Hi Shelley, I know exactly how demotivating it can be when the scales don't show any change even though you know you've put in the hard yards. Having been a weight watcher most of my adult life and having worked in the weight loss industry my advice to you would be to :
Limit your weigh in days to once a week
Watch your portion sizes and food groups
And most of all on the days you are not doing beautiful Yoga perhaps incorporate another cardio type exercise.
Don't lose heart menopause works against us too. Hang in there.

And just so you know, if you're exercising as a component of your diet, the scales might not move but the fat will be turning to muscle and your clothe size will still be going down. There's more than just scales to measure the success of a health change.

Correct coconah, you can gain one and loose the other but you can't turn one into the other. Use scales once a week, any more frequently and all you will be measuring is your level of hydration not fat/muscle loss. And look in the mirror, it doesn't lie, if you look fat you are fat, simple!

Go by how your clothes fit, not by the scale.
